The Xoko restaurant, pronounced CHO KO, is on the main highway at the Santa Clara turn off, on the ocean side. Opened in April 2009 Xoko has a spacious, well-lit dining room decorated with a nautical theme.

Xoko has a spacious, well-lit dining room decorated with a nautical theme. Xoko is wheel chair accessible, offers takeout and does catering.

Menu:

Xoko has a twenty-five-item Spanish menu of which three items are changed each week.  The menu includes Spanish appetizers, salads and soups, vegetarian dishes, seafood, beef, lamb, and takeout paella.

The food at Xoko is served hot. Xoko serves authentic Spanish and other Mediterranean food. Their lamb (cordero) was delicious as were a couple of chorizos served with fried potatoes. The menu includes items such as ox tail (rabo de rez) soup, a seafood plate, langostino for $11.50, paella, zarzuela a la madrileña (sea food  casserole Madrid style), spaghetti, and, of course, flan for dessert.

A surprise was Bife de Chorizo, which is an Argentinean expression for a New York steak!

Beverages:

Xoko has a modest selection of wines and local beer as well as coffee and soda.

Their corkage fee is $8. 

Main Meal Price Range:

Prices range from $2.50 for the least expensive appetizer to $22 for squid cooked in its own ink and served on a bed of rice.

Comments:

The service is prompt but not intrusive. The staff speaks enough English to help with menu selections. they take visa and mastercard

If you are looking for a place to stay the night Xoko also has five, brand new, attached motel rooms for which it charges $40 a night, breakfast included.
