Insecurity Disturbs Panama Society
(Prensa Latina) Insecurity is one of the main problems the Panamanian society is facing nowadays, worried about the increase of very serious crime all over the country.
Details from the Criminal Statistics Integrated System, cited by Panama America newspaper, register 211 homicides from last May to August this current year.
That figure represents an increase of 61 cases (27.4 percent), compared with equal period in 2007.
For specialists one of the difficulties to face this scourge is the fact that the National Police structure has remained equal since 1960, among others.
In this context, it is also necessary more training and equipping for the public force aimed at facing delinquency.
