Panama Development Preserves Land Integrity
(costaricapages.com) It seems all too often in Panama developers care little about the environment or preserving the natural beauty of this country. Trees get destroyed, land is razed and animals are forced out of their natural habitat. Luckily there are some builders in Panama that take their responsibility to Panamanian ecosystem seriously.
One of Panama’s foremost highland developments is striving to protect the land on which it stands. It’s not common in Panama to hear “developer” and “conservationist” in the same breath, but Cielo Paraiso in the province of Chiriqui has managed to do just that.
All too often in Panama we hear about developers illegally destroying mangroves, primary forests and water sources, in an attempt to make their development more appealing or less expensive. Panama has so much to offer as far as natural beauty and wildlife, it’s a shame when these attractions are destroyed without a second thought.
Located in the fresh mountain air of Boquete, Cielo Paraiso has managed to construct their 18-hole golf course, and residential community without cutting down forests and by using reclaimed pastureland. Of the 800 plus acres that comprise the development, more than one third is a private nature reserve. Rivers, creeks and lakes on the property have also been preserved, meaning Panama’s abundant wildlife still has a place to call home.
In a country where many developers choose to make a few dollars with complete disregard for nature, it’s refreshing to know some are environmentally conscious.
Would you rather buy property when you know deliberate steps have been taken to preserve nature?
