Explosion in Bijao

There was a strong explosion in a residential unit in Bijao, Río Hato district, Coclé province, causing severe damage. Two people suffered minor injuries. The cause has not been released.

The explosion in Bijao was recorded at 3:57 p.m. Friday, September 18, in an apartment in the PH Pacific Blue residential complex. According to preliminary reports from the Fire Department, the fire caused structural damage to four additional apartments.

Security officials have ongoing investigations to determine the cause of the incident, clarifying that the event cannot be attributed to a gas explosion until the on-site investigations are officially concluded.
