Remaining Panama Holidays of 2025

There are still four holidays in 2025, including the 28th of November, and three national holidays in December 2025: Mother’s Day, a National Day of Mourning, and Christmas.

November 28th is the date on which Panama commemorates its independence from Spain, one of the country’s most important national holidays. This year, the holiday falls on a Friday, allowing citizens to enjoy a long weekend. 

For December, the calendar includes three important dates:

December 8th is Mother’s Day. In 2025, it will fall on a Monday, creating a long weekend.

December 20th is commemorated as a National Day of Mourning in memory of those who died during the United States invasion of Panama in 1989. This year, the date falls on a Saturday.

December 25th, which in 2025 will fall on a Thursday, will be a national holiday for the celebration of Christmas.
