Imhpa says Heavy rains will continue in Panama
Heavy rains have been affecting several regions in Panama. The rain and wind is expected to continue with lightning according Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology of Panama (Imhpa) Nov. 6th 2024.
Hurricane Rafael, a category two hurricane, is in the northwestern Caribbean and “is already far from our latitudes,”

Imhpa announced that showers of varying intensity with possible electrical discharges are expected in Chiriquí, Veraguas, Colón, Bocas del Toro, Azuero and the Ngäbe Buglé region Nov. 6th.
In the afternoon, rain is expected in the Ngäbe Buglé region and in parts of the Azuero peninsula, two regions that have already been hit hard by heavy rains and winds causing evacuations of people and animals.
Meanwhile, in the rest of the country there will be heavy but short-lived showers.
During the night, rains will persist in the western Caribbean, affecting the coast from Colón down to Bocas del Toro, Chiriquí and northern Coclé.
