Experience Panama with Copa Airlines stopover Program
Copa Airlines, the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP), and Promtur Panama will relaunch of the Panama Stopover Program, offering international travelers the option to stop in Panama on Copa flights.
With the objective of welcoming 300,000 tourists by 2026, The Panama Stopover Program will promote Panama as a destination in the United States, Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil.
“With this new phase of the Panama Stopover, we reaffirm our commitment to making Panama an even more appealing destination for international travelers. The Hub of the Americas at Tocumen remains the primary connectivity point in the region, and in collaboration with Promtur Panama, we are expanding our tourism promotion to other vital markets. Through this campaign, we aspire to encourage more visitors to explore the cultural and natural treasures of Panama, ultimately contributing to the country’s economic growth,”

Travelers can extend their stay in Panama without any extra airfare cost, allowing them to take advantage of their connection and explore the country. This initiative is crafted to boost tourism, leveraging the country’s strategic location as the primary hub in the region.

With a collaborative investment of $1.5 million from Copa Airlines and Promtur, the campaign ’Panama has everything and is very close’ aims to position the country as a diverse and accessible destination.
The advertising campaign is capitalizing on short distances to travel, and the ease of exploring key attractions which are diverse and authentic experiences, using the title everything nearby. The campaign aim to showcases everything from the iconic Panama Canal to Panama’s rich cultural heritage, nightlife, beaches and mountains.

The Panama Stopover program will also feature new partnerships with hotels, restaurants, and local attractions, providing tourists with discounts and personalized experiences.
