Tao Rodríguez is the Alas Pro tour Jr. Champion

The third Latin American Surf Association Professional Tour took place last week at Punta Roquitas a world-renowned break in Miraflores, Lima. Panamanian surfer Tao Rodríguez won first in his category

Coming straight off a win of second place in the previous event, Tao’s total score of the day in the Junior category was 14.34 points.

Tao told the media: 

"I was happy to win my first Opening heat since lately I’ve been eliminated in that instance.

I loved the event at Punta Rocas. The wave was amazing, and a bit difficult. However, now we switched to a completely different wave. I like the change and pulling out different boards. Second place at Punta Rocas keeps me inspired, calm, and eager to win. "

Rodríguez beat Peruvians Noah de Col (10.96), Sol Borelli (5.34) and Amaru Rodríguez (4.77).
