Panama wins three medals in Latin American Surf Fest 2021

Panama took home three medals from the bicentennial Surf festival that took place October 14th until the 17th in Chiquimulilla, Guatemala. The wins were in Stand-up Paddle Racing and Women’s Open.
In Women’s SUP racing, Stevie Bodden won with a huge lead finishing at 1 hour, 50 minutes, and 17 seconds. Guatemala’s María Fernanda Rodríguez-Cerna was in second with a time of 2:24:46.
In men’s SUP Racing Edonays Caballero took first with a time of 1 hour, 34 minutes.
Samanta Alonso came in second place in the Ladies Open category with a total score of 860 points. The first place went to the Argentine Luciana Indurian with a score of 1000.
Panama also competed in the areas of Men’s open surfing and in longboarding.
Panama’s 1x Jr. Champ, Tao Rodriguez made it to the semi-finals in open, and Jr. He shared his first heat in the open category, with a message thanking Guatemala the Panamanian crew.
