Quarantine measures ease in San Carlos, Taboga and Penonomé
Panama’s health minister has announced that from next Monday, August 9, Sunday total quarantine, will be lifted in various parts of the country due to the decrease in cases of Covid-19.
During a press conference, on Tuesday, August 3, Health Minister Sucre said that in the district of San Carlos, the province of Panama West was among the districts that the quarantine on Sundays will be lifted. Moreover curfew will be in place from 10:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. Shops must close at 9 pm. In the rest of the province, the measures already established are maintained.

News also came that the islands of Taboga, Otoque Oriente and Otoque Occidente will be free of any restrictive measures starting Aug. 9. The islands have had no new cases for several consecutive weeks. Note that travelers must present a vaccination card or a negative test to travel to the islands.
In Coclé, the Sunday quarantine ends in the districts of Penonomé, Aguadulce and Antón. The mobility restriction is now from 10:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.
