Coronado Christmas and New Year’s events
Tis the season to get festive in Coronado Panama! With decorations hung in the major plaza and Christmas trees almost sold out, the days are few till the parties begin.
The holiday season is a busy time of year in Coronado, Panama, with many families heading to the beach for the from Christmas into the New Year, as it is also the start to summer vacation for kids in Panama.
Each year, the Christmas spirit continues all the way into January with the celebration of Kings Day which takes place on January 6. And with Carnival just around the corner (this year from February 22nd until the 26th) it can feel like the country is in one big party lasting from November all the way until March.
While it can be hard to get things done this time of year, it’s best to just relax and enjoy over the holidays and choose your days in and out of the city wisely.
This weekend will start the holiday madness in Coronado, with many getting an early start, as Christmas eve falls on a Tuesday this year.
The holiday spirit will be at Las Terrazas Plaza Saturday December 21st with activities for kids and the "Grand Christmas Show."
Las Bovedas will host a Chirstmas Eve Dinner at Bahia. Reservation is required so call 389-5965 to reserve your place. The cost is $32.75 pp, this includes a starter, main and desert.
Picasso will host a New Year’s party this year with fire works and a Special Menu.
Here in the beach communities, Kings Day is known as a very special day as CASA (Coronado Area Social Association) hosts an event for local families with handicapped children offering them a day to celebrate, enjoy local food and open small gifts. The main gift, however, is a food basket. This year the organization really needs some support and it’s not too late to contribute to making this Christmas a very special one for a family in need!
