Celebrating Chame Panama
Looking for something to do at the beach this weekend instead of shopping for Black Friday deals in Panama City? Friday, September 18 Chame, Panama will celebrate its 162nd Anniversary, and there are lots of events taking place for the community to enjoy.
The Festivities will begin tonight, Friday, September 16, in the evening with a torch parade through the main street in Chame ending with a folkloric show.
Tomorrow there will be a parade will be leaving form the Chame Municipality building. Student bands will march and play, along with the community parade through the streets of Chame.
Sunday Cuelcos (water trucks) will be on the street just after the church in the center of town. In the town of Chame this street is locally known as Calle de las "perdidas", or in English, the street of the lost, as it is where many of the town’s parties take place.
