ATTT Warns Drivers About Fines

Have you noticed more police on the road in the Pacific beach area? The Traffic and Land Transport Authority (ATTT) is cracking down on driving infractions.  One infraction the ATTT has warned about, is driving without insurance.

Article 236-A of the Traffic Regulations indicates, that drivers who do not have their insurance policy in force at the time of having an accident will have pay $100 fine, and those who do not present it when a National Police agent or the ATTT requests it, will be fined and have their car towed.

In the first three months of this year (2017), the ATTT and National Police force has imposed 3,600 sanctions.

Make sure to always carry a valid license and a copy of your insurance policy when driving.
