Chame Inaugurates New Sign

The district of Chame is now marked by a colorful sign. The sign was recently inaugurated at the main entrance of the district and is the fourth in the country.

Other tourism structures are located on Cinta Costera, Pedasí, Calzada de. Amador. Soon Boquete will join the list. These signs, that spell the district’s name in colorful letters, offer visitors the opportunity to take photos celebrating each area.

The administrator of the ATP, Gustavo Him, explained that the new point of interest aims to promote the district of Chame, and it’s beautiful natural surroundings.

Him urged both residents and visitors to take care of the structure.   The Mayor of Chame said that plans are being made for a parking area on the right-hand side of the road where the new sign is located.

Chame has a population of about 30,000 according to estimates of the Comptroller General for the year 2016. The area is well-known for beach towns like Gorgona, Coronado and Punta Chame, the district also has beautiful rivers, waterfalls and mountain landscapes.
