Folk Dancing at Balboa Theatre

Planning on being in Panama City this weekend? Stop by the Balboa Theatre to enjoy a demonstration of folk dances from different regions of Panama on September 10th and 11th from 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

More than 100 dancers will dance in the annual gala “"Rhythms and traditions" performing under the direction of Professor Gino Isaac Herrera Ramirez.

Dances include chorrerana cumbias along with Darien, Bocas and Azuero folk and ballroom dances. The event will also include a parade of polleras, paying tribute to the national costume of Panama.   

Getting to the Balboa Theatre from Coronado

Leaving Coronado take the Pan-American highway towards Panama City. Crossing over the bridge of the Americas, exit toward Amador Ave. Continue on Av Amador. until Arnulfo Arias Madrid Ave. and make a left onto Av Arnulfo Arias Madrid/Calle Balboa The Balboa Theater will be on your left just after the Boston International School
