Sixth Discovering Surf Talents Cup at Playa Teta

The Sixth Discovering Surf Talent (DST) Surfing competition sponsored by Sushi Express will be held this weekend, September 10th and 11th at Playa Teta in Punta Barco. During the morning of Saturday, September 10th Super Deportes will also be organizing a beach cleanup on Playa Teta.

The clean up is part of their campaign #QueXopa Con el Mar, which promotes cleaning up the ocean every September as part of the International Costal Cleanup effort. The beach cleanup is open to anyone who would like to participate. 

The surf event is open to young surfers under the age of 18. The categories competing are: Under 8 years old, Under 10 years old, Girls/boys under 12, under 14, under 16 & under 18. The entry fee for each category is $20, to be paid before entering the water. 

Entries can be made by writing info@dst.com.pa include your name, age, date of birth and category you will compete in.

Discovering Surf Talents is an organization that aims to offer young surfers in Panama the opportunity to meet and learn about surfing and how surf competitions work. The ideology of DST is to keep up-to-date with the new regulations and competition methodology and teach this methodology to young surfers who wish to compete in the sport.
