Congratulations to SpayPanama

Congratulations to SpayPanama for receiving a 5-star recognition from Dr. Marvin Mackie, the creator of the Quick Spay method. Dr. Mackie wrote: "I am W. Marvin Mackie D.V.M. retired. I wish to send my support to SpayPanama as an extremely worthy and effective organization that is and has been addressing pet over-population in Panama for 10 years.

Their success and effectiveness is outstanding! Any way you can help their efforts benefits animals in so many ways. And there is a great benefit for the owners and caretakers as well as the communities in which their work is done."

Spay Panama offers animal population control in a sustainable way by providing low cost sterilizations, they help low-income owners to care for their pets. The organization also helps to promote responsible animal ownership and education.

The next SpayPanama clinic will take place in El Valle on SEPTEMBER 10th and 11th at Escuela de La Compania. The school is located on the street directly across from the Church of San Jose, the first street on the right past Bruchetta's restaurant if coming from the Center of town and Market area.

The clinic hours will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and on Sunday beginning at 7:00 a.m. until 12 :00 p.m.

SpayPanama reminds pet owners of the following: Please NO food for the animals 12 hours prior to the clinic.  People may call Sra Olga at 6745-2830 for an appointment. Please bring along a towel to help carry your animal home.  Drivers will be provided.  Cats should have carriers if not, a pillow case works for most!

CRATES:  If anyone has an animal crate no matter what size, they are very useful to help in the capture of street dogs the night before.  We use the market area to capture and contain the animal prior to the clinic.  Please contact Jacqueline Kerr at 6496 3505 if you would like to "loan" your crate, they will be returned after the clinic.
