Hands of Stone now showing in Panama

The Robert De Niro film Hands of Stone, is now showing in Panama City. While the movie has received some local hype, among locals and foreigners in Panama who were either extras in the movie or know people who were, some critics have called it a flop.

Hand of Stone tells the story of Panama’s legendary boxing hero Roberto Duran, and was filmed mostly in Panama. It will be showing in 40 Panamanian movie theaters and 2000 cinemas throughout the United States.

The closest cinema to Coronado to see Hand of Stone is in Westland Mall.

While the Guardian called Hand of Stone as “subtle as a blow to the head” and it ranked under 50% on Rotten Tomatoes, many might want to check it out anyways, at the very least you will likely see some familiar faces and places.
