High Wave Alert Issued for Pacific Coast

Panama’s National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC) has issued a high wave alert that will last an entire week. The warning state that waves will reach 2.1 - 2.5 meters high with durations of 20 seconds.

The impact of the waves could be more sever with high tides warns SINAPROC. Therefore some damage is expected especially the areas of Puerto Caimito, (Panama Oeste), Playa Leone (Panama Oeste), El Salado Aguadulce (Coclé), Puerto Armuelles (Chiriqui), Boca La Caja (Panama City), Isla Gonzalo Vásquez (Panama), among other coastal towns along Panama’s Pacific coast.
