Sinaproc Responds to Jellyfish and Stingray Injuries

A report by the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), revealed that on Sunday March 13th six people were affected  various marine stings on the Pacific beaches. The majority of injuries were the result of jelly fish while one more serious injury occurred in Uverito beach in Los Santos, where a woman was taken to a hospital emergency for the removal of a stingray barb.

The others were treated for minor injuries from contact with jellyfish.

The best way to avoid sting rays is by suffering your feet when entering shallow water. Jelly fish are harder to avoid, a good sign that they are present in the water is if they can be seen washed up on shore.
