Reto Chame 2015
A ”Cayuco” is a a small dugout canoe made in Central and South America, the canoes have been used in Panama traditionally, not only for fishing, but also recreation. The unique sport is now practiced throughout the world, producing many successful athletes over the years.
Regattas Panama is a group of avid paddlers with the goal of promoting rowing sports and new disciplines like paddle boarding, throughout Panama.
This November 14 & 15 for the second year in a row, Regattas Panama will host RETO CHAME, a two day event taking place at Nitro City in Punta Chame. The event is open to competitors ($50) and spectators ($16.05).
There will be plenty of activities of varying levels. These activities include, races, paddle clinics, team relay, sunset paddles, movie night, and of course the highlight of the event the competitive rowing races. Them categories are as follows: SUP (Surf & Performance board categories), Outrigger Canoe, Cayuco, Prone & Kayak.
COSTS:
1. SPECTATORS: $ 16.05 per person - Day Pass (1 day) to Nitro City. Includes use of the facilitates *all activities, food & drink are offered at an additional cost
2. COMPETITORS: $ 50.00 per person (all types of boat) and includes:
