Dothan Mission Group Travels to Panama

newsnviews2.jpg(wtvynews4.com) Doctors and youth group members left Saturday morning around 10 o'clock to begin their journey to Panama from Atlanta.

WTVY has been following the progress of the group for several years now.

This time around, the mission will be putting together a medical clinic and helping with a bridge that needs to be rebuilt after being destroyed last year.

Dr. Steve Stokes, one of the mission leaders says they brought the youth council along because it’s important for them to understand the value of mission trips.

Daniel Jackson, one youth group member was eager to begin the mission.

"All of us are going to help with the kids, get some candy out and give some love to the kids, and hopefully get some clean water to the villages up there too."

Throughout the trip, the group will be uploading pictures on the Southeast Alabama Medical center's website www.samc.org
