"Tipico Panama” photography by Maudy Bom at Cafe Viana
“Tipico Panama”, a photography exhibition by Maudy Bom, will be on display at Café Viana March 28. This Friday, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. come enjoy the exhibit and gain a fresh perspective on what is typically Panamanian. Maudy grew up in Tanzania, Africa where she started taking pictures at a young age. Even then her photos were largely of the world around her. Maudy moved to Panama in 2004.
After working in the city for a couple years Maudy moved to Pedasi, it was there that she developed a career in photography.
All of the photos in the exhibit at Café Viana were taken in Panama. “Panama is my favorite subject”, says Maudy, “there is so much to see here, some of which nobody sees.” Overlooked beauty is perhaps what comes through Maudy’s lens the strongest.
Her unique perspective will leave you excited to explore the real Panama that exists everywhere around you.
