Mariano Rivera and the Yankees to Play Preseason games in Panama

On March 15 and 16 the Yankees will meet the Marlins in Panama to play two preseason games. Both games will take place in the Rob Carew Stadium in Panama City. Mariano Rivera, who recently retired from his role as the Yankee’s closer, grew up in the small town of Puerto Caimito, near Panama City. Rivera was arguable one of the best relievers to play the game, with 5 World Series Championships under his belt. After 19 years with the Yankees, Rivera will put on the pinstripes one last last time here in Panama. The game is sure to be an emotional event for both Rivera and baseball fans throughout Panama.
