XXIII El Valle Musical Festival & Youth Concert
On Saturday, January 25, 2014, the El Valle Musical Festival Association and the National Institute of Culture will host their 23rd annual concert in El Valle. The classical music concert has a long-standing history in the community of El Valle. Each year the event brings talented musicians who practice and teach throughout the country and internationally. This year the event will begin at 8:00 p.m. at the San Jose Church in the town center of El Valle, and showcase the talents of a variety of classical musicians. The concert is an opportunity for the community to enjoy classical pieces such as Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet in A major preformed by both local and foreign musicians. This year the musical ensemble will include musicians: Luis Casal (Panama), Gilberto Young (Panama), Karina Nunez (Ecuador), Tim Lacrosse (USA), Garciela Nunez (Panama), and Juan Castillo (Panama). Chinese pianist Jingjing Wang, a skilled pianist with a doctorate in music, will be retuning to Panama for the second year in a row.
If you are interested in attending the concert tickets are available for $20.00. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the El Valle commercial center in El Valle, or in Panama City at Joyeria Barakat or Ingenieria R-M. Tickets will also available for purchase at San Jose Church before the concert.
