Christmas for the Las Uvas & Copecito Students

Each year Christmas comes early to the students of Copecito and Las Uvas. This year on December 14 over a hundred students, parents and teachers met at Paraiso to celebrate Christmas in their own special way. Students lined up in an orderly fashion to receive a slice of pizza and soda.

The students were a little camera shy, but thrilled to be enjoying a sunny Saturday under the Paraiso bohio. A Christmas tree stood tall inside the restaurants and a wrapped gift for every child awaited.

After working side by side with charitable organizations like Finca La Maya, Rosa of Paraiso came up with the idea of creating this special day for the children in the Las Uvas area.

Rosa envisions the event growing in the future. With a new foundation on the horizon called fundación Gabriela, Rosa hopes to expand the program and to offer it to more schools in the area.
