My wife and I bought a house in Coronado last September for a place to come on vacation and to escape the cold weather that Northern Nevada, USA is known for in the Winter. We usually stay two to three weeks at a time. Like many others from colder climates who live here full or part time, we like our visits to be as care- free as possible. When I mentioned to my real estate agent that I wanted a company who could offer property management services, he recommended Caunter E. Hijos Administraciones de Panama. We visited their offices one day and I met the owners, Nelly Caunter and her daughter Susan. Right away I knew I would be in good hands. They have been in business for over ten years, are experienced in what they do, and are very professional. They are from Panama and are completely fluent in Spanish and English. They go far beyond what a normal property management service does. They are always available to handle any issue or problem, visit all properties they manage on a regular basis, and check each time that everything is in proper order.
As I look back over the last seven months or so I really don't know what I would have done without them. For example, some of the services they have provided us, include setting up all our utility accounts (eg: electricity,water, phone, cell phone, cable, Internet), arranged upgrades for the house (they purchased and had installed a dishwasher, washer and dryer, new golf cart, new fabric for some of the furniture, pool tile upgrades, the list goes on).
They know the right people to do repairs and upgrades. Septic, pool, painting, furniture repair, tree cutting, landscape, air conditioning, electric, cieling fans, you name it. They even had our back yard gate to the golf course widened so the golf cart would fit through it! They look for the best quality work and will always negotiate the best price for you.
They pay all the above bills including the salaries of my live in maid and gardener, taxes etc. What I do is prepay my account from time to time with them and they draw on it for all expenses. They send me a detailed statement on all that has been spent any time I request it. Since they speak English so well, I am never confused on what has been done or what is to be done, whether I am here or in the States.
Bringing your pet to Panama? No problem. For an extra fee Susan will arrange to have an airport vet to meet at your arrival gate. All other fees are paid in advance so all you do is present your documentation, sign a form or two and you are on your way to Coronado with your pet. We have brought our little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to Panama twice now. Easy...
Other services Caunter E Hijos have done for us include setting up transportation to an from the airport, having a rental car at our house before we arrive, notifying our maid to have all things ready for us including appliances turned on, wine and dinner ready for us upon our arrival, and the golf cart charged up and ready! These services make hings so easy after a long flight (sip an ice cold Balboa on the way and enjoy the scenery, yes!).
