Vista Mar hires Juan Carlos Patiño as Director of Golf San Carlos, Panama. October 31, 2013 - Vista Mar recently announced that it has named Juan Carlos Patiño as its new Director of Golf. Patiño, whose background includes proven success as General Manager, Director of Golf, and Head Golf Pro throughout the Americas, comes to Vista Mar most recently from the Summit Golf & Resort in Panama City. “Juan Carlos is a star among pros of Central and South America and I am sure that will bring the expertise and energy that will lead our golf course in delivering a high-end country club experience for members, residents, and guests alike” said Marcelo Joffe, Vista Mar Golf & Beach Resort General Manager.
“He will provide new ideas and services, a fresh perspective, a new structure of clinics, junior play, and a future academy that will continue to distinguish Vista Mar as a unique destination, I have no doubt about that.” Concluded Joffe.
A native of Bolivia, Patiño most recently was the Golf Club General Manager & Academy Director for the Summit Golf & Resort, as well as the Golf Director for properties like Coronado Hotel & Resort, Costa Rica Country Club and La Paz Golf Club.
Patiño’s prowess has earned him several titles like the PGA Championship in Bolivia (1st World Cup Qualifier for the Bolivia National Team, and other titles from the South American Tour like the Argentinean Open, The Tournament of the Americas and Copa Los Andes.

Vista Mar Announces Arturo Uzcátegui as New Director of Sales and Marketing San Carlos, Panama. October 31, 2013 – Vista Mar Golf & Beach Resort is pleased to announce Arturo Uzcátegui as the new Director of Sales and Marketing for the golf course and resort facilities.
“We are delighted to have Arturo on board as he brings the energy and experience needed in the sales and marketing department for us to achieve the goals we have set at Vista Mar,” said Marcelo E. Joffe, KemperSports General Manager at Vista Mar Golf & Beach Resort.
“I am honored to be part of the KemperSports and Vista Mar teams and to play a leadership role in the Sales & Marketing department,” said Uzcátegui. “I look forward to bringing and developing new ideas and to take Vista Mar Golf & Beach Resort to a whole new level of quality and excellence.”
As Director of Sales & Marketing for the golf course and resort facilities, Arturo will be responsible for developing and executing Vista Mar’s marketing plan, and selling memberships, outings, tournaments and events held at the location. Arturo will spend his days between Panama and San Carlos, to supervise both markets in order to identify new opportunities and fulfill market needs, ensure the arrival of new members for Vista Mar, and meet short- and long-term sales and marketing goals.
Arturo has led a professional career in countries like the United States, China and Panama since graduating from The University of Tampa, a Florida-based U.S. university, with a major in Communications.
