Poco Loco hosting a Charity Dance for CASA!

For the past 5 years CASA has been hosting various activities to raise funds for Christmas Baskets which are distributed to some of the poorest families with handicapped children in isolated and hard to reach areas of the Interior.

Following the announcement that CASA would not be organizing the craft fair this year, Poco Loco, a local rock band generously offered to host a Charity Benefit Dance to help raise funds for the baskets!

When:   Saturday, September 28th - The doors will open at 6:30 pm,  the music will start at 7:30 ppm.

Where:   La Ruina  Taverna in Gorgona.  (La Ruina is located on the central street of town, follow the signs).

Cost: $7.00.  The great news is that Poco Loco is donating the total cover charge of $7.00 in its entirety towards the purchase of food items for the baskets.

The baskets are filled with dry goods such as flour, sugar, pastas, beans, tins of tomato sauces,   tuna, ham, sardines, vegetables, soaps, etc.

The chosen venue, La Ruina Taverna, will be donating $0.50 per beer sold towards funding the baskets.

Adding to the community spirit, the Coronado Cruiser will be supplying two free shuttle service runs from in front of El Rey to La Ruina starting at 6:00 p.m. to get there and at 10:00 p.m. for the return run. Space is limited and is on a first come first in basis. (Seating priority will be given to Locos Backyard Grill shuttle advertisers).

For your peace of mind,  Neiborhood Watch  in Gorgona will be supplying 5 'Observers' to keep an eye over the parking and general area during the dance.  An added bonus,  you can feel safe and secure while enjoying the party!

For added fun, we will be doing a ‘Half and Half’ draw as well as hosting a silent auction table. If you have anything to donate, please let us know and we will add it to the table to auction off. Any item or service would be greatly appreciated and give the donor credit!

Mark the date in your calendar and do not miss this opportunity to have a fun time with friends. Come and wear out those dancing shoes, and participate in a great cause helping this very special community.
