Home Invasion in Playa Blanca
NHN advises that Mike and Connie Danhauser of Playa Blanca were robbed early this morning. According to reports coming in, the couple live in a Playa Blanca villa close to the pool. Robbers had guns and knives. The couple were tied down and their mouths taped. The robbers were there for 1-1/2 and had a lookout outside Mike Danhauser fought with the thieves until a gun was pulled, at which point he submitted. There were security guards on duty at the pool, who didn't hear anything.
Money, jewelry and small electronics were stolen. The couple are shaken but ok. The robbers wore gloves and wiped things clean.
According to information NHN is piecing together, Mike fought with one of the robbers who had a knife, until a gun was pulled.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN) have sent in a private detective to investigate the crime and have assigned Carlos Sanad Espino to the case.
Money is being raised to pay for the private detective, who charges $200 a day and for the Research and Investigation Fund, which is used to pay for information.
