High Tide Warning for the Pacific Coast of Panama
The National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC) has issued a Pacific high tide warning lasting from Sunday August 21 until Sunday August 28 at 7:53 a.m. Tides are expected to reach as high as 18.0 feet; Rain could lead to increase levels of rivers and streams, which could result in flooding of vulnerable areas. Alvarado De Icaza, recommended that residents of communities affected by the tides take precautions, he extended these warnings to fishermen and swimmers.
In their notice, SINAPROC also encouraged those in need to call the emergency line * 335 free for both landlines and cell phone.
