Police and Community Meeting
A follow-up community meeting with the Police will be held at La Ruina Tavern in Gorgona on April 19, 2013 from 11:30 am-1:30 pm. The meeting has been organized by Gorgona's Neighborhood Watch program. On hand will be members of the Police Department, representative from the President's office and media representatives. Carlos Sanad, Legal Advisor for the National Police will be on hand to translate. The following agenda will be addressed:
- Progress on the Ranchos del Toro robbery
- Discussion on increased patrol and security in the beach community
- Progress on english speaking officers in our community
- Progress on additional cars added for patrol
- Progress on any english speaking dispatch
- Concerns of the police that they would like to address
- Question and answer period for the residents of the beach community. (keep on topic)
All residents from the beach community are invited to attend this event at La Ruina. La Ruina will be providing food and drinks at a reasonable cost.
