Olga Sinclair Ignites Children's Natural Artistic Nature
On Saturday March 23rd 2013, The Olga Sinclair foundation and Coronado es vida met with over 300 Children from schools all over the country to paint the Panama of their dreams. Olga has organized workshops throughout the country with over 4500 children with the aim of finding 10 shining stars who will accompany her to Europe. The 10 finalists will have the once in a life time opportunity to see the Louvre among other world famous museums and galleries.
Each year Olga Sinclair channels inspiration through one of the great artist. In past years she has worked with the styles of Picasso, Gauguin, and Pollok. This year the artist of choice was Vincent Van Gogh. She talked to the group about Van Gogh’s unique perspective. How the stars of Starry Night were vibrant with colour and texture and his sunflowers unlike any other flowers. She encouraged her audience to paint using the techniques of Van Gogh.
Ms. Sinclair’s goal is to encourage children to dream big. By using music and art as a means of expression, she believes motivation and aspiration will develop naturally. A different perspective will be gained, a taste of culture and integration will resonate. The foundation is currently carrying out these big plans throughout the entire country. With the help of local and international sponsors the Olga Sinclair Foundation plans to develop programs for boys and girls in other Latin American Countries.
