Nitro City Resort brings Moto-Cross and Quad racing to Punta Chame, Panama
The UPM Race Series is a series of Moto-cross/Quad events, set to take place at Nitro City, Punta Chame. The race series will begin this Sunday, January 27th. The second event of the series is scheduled for February 24th and the third, March 24th. These events are open to the public and free for spectators. The race is also open to the public, new riders are encouraged to get involved. Race registration for both MX and Quads is $60.00 per race.
Nitro City has partnered with UPM (Panamanian Motorcyclist Union) for these three events, all of the events will take place at Nitro City’s MX track in Punta Chame. The track was designed by Hubert Rowland (USA) and Red Bull Athlete Travis Pastrana (USA). Rowland has built and deisgned some of the best tracks in the history of AMA Supercross, and Pastrana is one of the most successful riders in the world.
This year, many of the 2012 Panama National Champions, as well as some international riders, will be at Nitro City to race the UMP Race Series. UMP will manage all on track activity, however, you do not have to be a UMP member to race. The event will provide free parking, free access to the viewing area and pit area to meet the riders. Food and beverages (including alcohol) will be available for purchase at the event. Coolers will not be permitted.
The race will be broadcasted on national television thanks to TVMAX Pura Pasion.
