Travis Pastrana visits Nitro City in Punta Chame, Panama

On Saturday December 15 2012, Travis Pastrana was at Nitro City, Panama’s action sports resort, to celebrate their one-year anniversary.  Travis Pastrana, known for his presence in motosports, is an 11-time X-Games gold medalist and a four-time rally champion. Despite his decorated status, Travis is humble and always happy to talk to his fans. Playacommunity was at Nitro to ask Travis (Co-creator of Nitro City) why he chose Punta Chame as the ultimate extreme sports getaway.

 Punta Chame is unique says Travis. The peninsula offers four seasons of extreme sports all in one place. Motocross, Kite boarding, Wake boarding and Sky Diving, are the four sports Travis spoke to. The resort is located on a beautiful stretch of beach-front property; even the motocross track overlooks the ocean. The track is the first of its kind.

Pastrana has brought international attention to Panama as a tourist destination, racing a Nitro City Panama car in his last race of 2012, and filming much of Nitro Circus 3D on the isthmus.  Travis visits Panama often. He says it’s a great place to play, relax and enjoy the endless summer the country has to offer.
