Fun and safe way to travel around Panama

(www.travbuddy.com)  the best part about Panama is that it shares two Oceans. The Pacific side is where Panama City is. That is where you will land by Air. The major Currency is US $. You have all types of Hotels. Good hotels for 25.00 to 50.00 a night. Nice beds, a/c, hot showers. You have the Panama Canal, night life, and the crime level on this side is very very low. Food is cheap, and so are taxis. You can get all around the city for no more the 2 to 5 dollars.
 

The Atlantic side is pretty. It has more remote places, but the major city colon is not the place you want to be at night. You can also get across the country via train that runs right next to the canal.

When I was in Panama I had the best time of my life. There is so much to do there. If you love boats/yachts/ sailboats etc or just like looking at them, there is a great Marina called flamenco Marina which has beautiful yachts. If you want to do day work you might me able to jump on a vessel for the day and help transit thru the canal.
