Miss Universe: New faces from Singapore, Panama and Thailand

VietNamNet Bridge – The three countries organised national Miss Universe contests to choose their representatives for the upcoming Miss Universe 2008 in Vietnam.

Gawintra Pothijakra, 22, 1.76m, a student in Bangkok, was crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2008.

Shenise Wong, 26, has become the new owner of the Miss Universe Singapore 2008 crown. With knowledge and experience at several local and international beauty contests (Miss International 2002, Miss World 2005), Shenise is confident to represent Singapore at the competition in Vietnam.

Panama also announced the name of its Miss Universe, Caroline Dementiev Justavino, 19, a model, swimmer, an MC and a law student.
