SPAY THE STRAY- DONOR MATCH

Most of you have donated previously to the Spay the Strays Group, volunteered at clinics, attended our fundraisers and/or brought animals to be spayed or neutered. You know the difference our clinics make in the lives and health of the local dogs and cats. Now we have such an exciting opportunity for you to demonstrate your continued commitment! One very generous supporter of Spay the Strays has pledged to match all donations of money during the next 30 days for up to $5,000!  The difference that this can make for our organization is staggering!  If you have ever considered giving money to help stop the proliferation of unwanted dogs and cats, now is the time!  No matter whether your contribution would be large or small, it will be doubled.  Since this was pledged to us, we have already received donations totaling $470.  With the matching donation, that just generated $940 for us to continue our work at a crucial time when our funds were at rock bottom.

For any of you that may not be familiar with our stats, to date we have operated on 1765 dogs and cats in clinics stretching from Sora to Bejuco, Chame, Gorgona, San Jose, Las Lajas and San Carlos.  Although we request donations from owners, no animal is ever turned away.  We have an all volunteer work force and our vets work for a pittance that basically covers just gas for their cars.  All money contributed goes directly to that cost and for the cost of medicines.  Spay the Strays has absolutely no administrative overhead.

Please consider donating what you can because as little as $10 will allow us to spay or neuter two cats or one dog.  You can just reply to this email or contact Sheila Scott (6656-9929), Barb Schlottke (6630-8630), or Mary Rhodes (6905-4498) for pick up or you can drop an envelope off at Mailboxes, ETC with Mary’s name on it.

Thank you.
