Kids Golf School in Coronado - Creating future golf professionals

The Coronado Golf and Beach Club, Golf School for Children is hoping to create future golf professionals to represent Panama in national and international tournaments. The Club began offering training to boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 15. The school which began in August of 2010, is currently training 17 children all of whom are boys.    Working alongside the future professionals is Victor Varano. With 11 years experience working in children's golf schools, his expectations for the future of golf in Panama are high. With his coaching, children develop not only a good understanding of the basic rules of golf, they also learn life skills. Once Victor determines a child has control of their swing, they are ready to compete in tournaments, if they wish to do so.

Classes are divided into three levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Students are organized in a manner that allows for strengths and weaknesses to become apparent right from the beginning. Classes are then geared to what the child needs to work on in order to improve his or her game.

The Children's Golf School has a flexible schedule that is coherent with the Panamanian school system. During the school year practices are held on Saturdays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and over vacations Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The school is open to all children, not only Club members. For more information call 240-4444.
