Social club takes to the water and launches full schedule of fun packed events

(PanamaNewsRoom) Twenty five members of the CanadaPLUS Club took to the water recently with Jungle Land Explorers, to explore Lake Gatun, discover more about the canal expansion, and dine aboard the lake’s only floating hotel. Many brought old skills back to life as they kayaked to a hidden beach and waterfall, and all returned with cameras loaded with wild life and scenic pictures, including some of the on board menagerie of tour host and guide, “Captain” Carl Davis. .

Making friends with a toucan, a snake, a monkey a night monkey or an iguana was all part of the entertainment, backed up by a heary meal. For those members of the club who missed out on the trip, they can use their membership cards to obtain a special rate for Club membership. The “Plus” means all who speak English or aspire to. Currently the Club has members from 13 countries including Panama. Among countries represented are the USA, Holland, Norway, , Taiwan , Jamaica the UK, and Ireland.

The Club has a full schedule of events for the year, and planning is under way for a fun packed celebration at Panama's Union Club on April 29, to mark the wedding of the year, Prince William and Kate Middleton, a Canada Day celebration backed by an exhibition of paintings by club members, a Murder Mystery Dinner, a Thanksgiving Dinner, a Welcome Back Snowbirds party, and a Christmas Carols by Candlelight event in Casco Viejo It’s a busy and active group, creating new friendships and providing members and guests with many exciting social events. A great way to meet new people as well as having a good day out.
