Panama brewers rolling out the barrels

(PanamaNewsRoom) The Panamanian brewing industry continues to expand and millions of dollars are being spent on new equipment.

In 2010 235 million liters of beer were produced, up 2.3% over 2009, and it would have been more but for the lack of water in December.
And soon, those thirsting for a Miller Lite  will have their taste buds placated The CerveceríaNacional have invested $ 5.3 million in equipment to start producing Miller lite in Panama for the first time.

Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Juan Antonio Fabrega, said that the company has invested  $40 million in new equipment in the last three years to improve quality control and distribution.
Cerveceria Baru Panama has invested $15 million to double production  due to the increase in demand.
