Photography of Ana Bergen, at Pangea Restaurant, Calle Alberto, Casa 45, El Cangrejo, Panama. It's a restaurant where you can travel the world with a glass in you hand, and one of the best place in town to make new friends in the expat and local community.

MARCH 5-8

Caravana in Panama. Love 'em or hate 'em it's a pre Lenten tradition that has lasted through the centuries. It's a time when many flee Panama city for the quieter life in the Interior, but there isn't a town worthy of its name that doesn't celebrate with parades, fireworks, discos, parties and more. Even the posh resorts get into the act. In Panama city the parades of carnival queens, floats and more  will be taking place on the CInta Costera, at the Fish Market end. Many stages with live music. If your heading out of town Las Tablas and Penonome are two of the biggest attractions, but unless you've booked ahead, tough to find accommodation. If none of it appeals, there are flights available from Tocumen.
