Carnival not usually kind to diners but ….

(PanamaNewsRoom) Carnival time in Panama is when you find the doors of many of your favorite eateries closed.

Restaurants close to the celebrations tend to  batten down the hatches, and some of those  at the higher end of the dining scale whose customers have fled  to the beaches or abroad,  take the opportunity to give staff a break. .

But one ar least one hardy soul will still be operating, and even extending his usual Monday special. Fritz Schmutte, mein host at the Rincon Aleman on Calle 51, is offering all you can eat Schnitzel on Monday, March  7 from noon until 9 p.m for $10.  Now that’s a tasty challenge
