Panama Asks For Extradition of Noriega, Again...

(Panama-Guide) Panama is waiting for France to respond to their request for the extradition of Manuel Antonio Noriega, said Vladimir Herrera, of the Legal Affairs section of the Panamanian Foreign Ministry.

Herrera said two days ago France acknowledged having received Panama's second request for extradition, and now Panama is awaiting a response. He said Panama requested the extradition of the former strongman of Panama on the basis of reciprocity and they do not need a legal instrument for this.

Herrera also said France should rule and hand over Manuel Antonio Noriega to Panama, who will be treated like any other Panamanian and returned to a Panamanian prison. He admitted that Noriega is a high profile person who attracts much media attention, but all are submitted to the same procedure. (TVN Noticias)
