American Stabbed and Robbed in Bugaba, Chiriqui

(Panama-Guide) - La Critica -  A 64 year-old American citizen named August Heim is in serious condition after he was stabbed in the chest by two criminals who attacked him in his residence, located in the El Encanto neighborhood in the district of Bugaba, in the province of Chiriqui. According to the police, the criminals went to the house of the foreigner, where they stabbed him and stole $1,600 dollars from him in cash. Heim was found lying on the floor of the porch of his residence. When he was rescued, he was conscious, and telling his relatives the details of what had happened. La Critica learned that the assailants allegedly gained access to the house in the first place through the front door of the residence to commit a theft. The American was transferred to the emergency room of Hospital Regional Rafael Hernandez, where he was treated immediately. According to the doctors who attended him, the status of American's health is fragile, due to the wound he received in the chest. The authorities of the National Police and prosecutors began an investigation to find those responsible for this bloody event.
