Two Killed in Panama Plane Crash Near Gorgona

A small plane crashed this afternoon in an empty field located next to the Inter American Highway near Gorgona, in the district of Chame. Initial reports indicate two people died in the aircraft when it crashed and burned. There was a man and a woman aboard, according to preliminary information. The two people were flying in an aircraft with registration number HP1114 from Santiago (Veraguas) to Panama City. The fire department, representatives of the National Civil Protection System, as well as the Civil Aviation Authority have arrived at the scene of the accident. (La Prensa)
