Paragliders Will Make Bid for World Record

PANAMA CITY, April 4, 2008, 2008 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- People involved in any sport are always looking for a new challenge. They want to go faster, higher, or farther than anyone before them. An historic charity event is giving Powered Paragliders a chance to set new records in flying.

Panacapital Group Inc is one of the sponsors of the Flight for Life charity event to be held in early May of 2008. During the event, Powered Paragliders will attempt to cross Panama from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. The event benefits the Foundation of Friends of Children with Leukemia and Cancer (FANLYC).

The Flight for Life event will feature Powered Paraglider pilots from Panama, Germany, USA, Australia, and New Zealand. The pilots will fly over the Panama Canal on their two hour journey to the Pacific Ocean. The FANLYC Paragliding pilots will be allowed to pass over the Panama Canal despite the usual security restrictions. Permission was granted so that children could be helped through this charity event.

"This is an unprecedented feat, and it is very exciting to be a part of it. We know that many children will be helped by FANLYC because of it, so we are proud to sponsor the event," Michael Magnusson explains about Panacapital Group's part in Flight for Life.
