Gasoline continues upward surge
(newsroompanama.com) Another big jump in gasoline prices will hit Panama’s motorists from Saturday (November 20).
The price of a gallon of 95 octan will climb by 9 cents and 91 by 12 cents. In late October 95 ictane was upped 13 cents and 91 by 11 cents.
No one seems to be able to explain the secret formula used to justify the fluctuation increases, but it is allegedly based on the import price of fuel.
The maximum sales price of a gallon of fuel at the pumps in the capital will be $3.10 for 91 octane, $3.31, for 95 octane, and $2.97 for diesel.
The prices will apply for 15 consecutive days until Friday December 3.
