Fire In Urgandí Leaves 100 Homeless
(Panama-Guide) - El Siglo - Eight houses were reduced to rubble and some 100 people were affected by a fire that broke out yesterday at 6:00 pm in the community of Urgandí, on the Sidra, Narganá river, Kuna Yala. According to a report of the State Border Service (SENAFRON), a 'guaricha' (homemade kerosene lamp) fell over onto a combustible material in one of the buildings, starting the fire. There were no deaths or injuries. The teacher Maria Castro said she lost all of her possessions in the blaze. Governmental authorities traveled to the area early this morning.
