Mrs. Phyllips Lopez - The Regidora of Playa Coronado

The Post for the Regidora (Sherriff) of Coronado was created by the Coronado Beach Residents Association in order to facilitate public order as the population of Coronado increased in size.  This post is currently being held by Mrs. Phyllips Lopez. While the Coronado area duties could fall under the jurisdiction of the position of Corregiduría de Chame, the amount of problems and complaints from the Coronado community warranted the creation of a position to deal specifically with this area. So, the Coronado Beach Residents Association in agreement with the government, choose Mrs. Phyllips Lopez to serve as a Regidora, as she held all the qualifications for the job. Mrs. Phyllips Lopez is a founding member of the Coronado Residents Association, and a secretary to the Board of Directors for 5 years.  She is also the Regidora of Coronado. Functions of the Regidora: To serve as a point of contact between residents and the Board of Directors. Serve as a point of contact between the Board of Directors and various government agencies and private companies that interact with the day to day residential operations of Coronado Beach. Receive complaints and assist in resolving situations of theft, accidents, etc. assist in resolving   and disputes among residents. Develop and submit to the Board of Directors those situations involving residents, accidents,   theft, etc. In the case of emergencies, such as fire,theft and serious accidents, the president of   the association must be informed, by telephone, immediately.

  • Coordinate and implement the operational security procedures approved by the Board of Directors and   any implement any other program or programs as requested.
  •  Be responsible for the optimal functioning of the security plan approved by the Association.
  • Overseeing the service provided by employees of Coronado Beach Residents Association.
  • Managing the collection of annual fees, issuing receipts.
  • Be responsible for the good functioning of the office of the Association, in Coronado Beach, and   the car of the Association, keeping a register of activities and a schedule of attending residents   from 8:00 to 12:00 am and 2:00 to 6:00 pm, Tuesday through Sunday.
  • Ensure that the assets of the Association (office, car, phone, etc.) are used in an effective,   transparent and efficient way.
  • Ensure that the owners of lots without buildings keep them clean of weeds and garbage and ensure   that the streets and slopes to the beaches and beaches are kept clean.
  • Avoid burning and indiscriminate cutting of trees in the area, requiring those who need to burn or prune obtain the proper authorization.
